Choose the wash alone when only the cleansing step is missing, and add the lotion when repeated hand washing leaves the skin feeling dry or tight. Use the wash on wet hands and rinse thoroughly, then apply lotion to clean, dry skin as needed. The lotion is a leave-on product and should not be used as a substitute for hand wash.
