Haeckels began in the English coastal town of Margate, where its founder started making skincare with locally harvested seaweed. Since November 2025, the brand has been known as Dulcie, named after the founder’s daughter. Algae extracts remain a signature ingredient, used to hydrate and soften the skin.

Dulcie combines marine ingredients with niacinamide, ceramides and peptides.
