Use alum or a styptic product locally when a minor nick needs attention, following the individual product instructions. Talcum powder leaves a dry finish and can be useful where moisture or friction is uncomfortable. A cooling mask offers a separate occasional step, while an anti-bump product should be chosen according to its directions and skin tolerance. Persistent irritation or inflamed bumps should not be managed only with grooming products.
