NOIR OKOUME Eau de Parfum

A reliquary guardian figure made by the Fang people of Gabon inspired Noir Okoumé. Its enigmatic form reminded Pierre Guillaume how modern an ancient wooden sculpture could appear. That impression becomes a dark woody fragrance in which smoke meets unexpected softness.

Loban, oolong tea leaves, myrrh, sandalwood and iris recreate the character of okoumé wood and Gabonese Kandéa resin. The composition is woody and balsamic, with both smoky and powdery nuances. Sandalwood and iris lend a softness that tempers the darker resinous impression.
