Lime, fresh mint, a strawberry accord and rum absolute create the lively opening. They are set beside the traditional chypre materials of patchouli, vetiver, labdanum, vanilla and oakmoss. As the fragrance settles, warm woods and moss become more apparent, giving the initial fruit-and-herb freshness a sensual continuation.
The change is central to its character. Mojito Chypre does not remain a light, sweet drink from beginning to end: its more classical side gradually asserts itself. Strawberry and mint make the composition feel informal, but the earthy, mossy character keeps it from becoming simply a cocktail novelty.
