The modernism of the 1930s and a sociable evening in a smoking room inspire Animal Mondain. Tobacco smoke mingles with leather club chairs, pearwood and mahogany. Pierre Guillaume connects this scene with the spare style of architect Robert Mallet-Stevens, creating a tobacco fragrance with little embellishment.

Pear-tree leaves, Turkish tobacco absolute and mahogany are the principal notes. Their character is dry and woody, with powdery and animalic nuances. Tobacco sits alongside wood and the impression of leather furniture, rather than a prominent liquor accord or an elaborate blend of spices.
