Sandalwood and hazelnuts, but without sweetness: this was the challenge a perfume enthusiast brought to Pierre Guillaume. His answer was Praliné de Santal, first released as a limited edition in 2011. The name suggests gourmand pleasure, but wood and roasting take precedence over confectionery.

Sandalwood is prominent and gently powdery, with a freshly roasted hazelnut nuance. Heliotrope gives the composition a broader, airier quality, allowing the wood to retain lightness despite its central role. Cedar reinforces the dryness, while a sea-salt accord suggests driftwood and balances any impression of sweetness.

Praliné de Santal explores a gourmand theme without a sugary character. Hazelnut complements the sandalwood, while powdery softness remains beside dry and salty nuances. This full-bodied woody composition develops with an airy quality, changing the familiar character of sandalwood through roasted nuts and sea salt.
