Grand Siècle Intense approaches French classicism through fragrance: luminous citrus, a discreet powdery softness and the composed character of a chypre. Its 2021 reworking changes the proportions of the familiar citrus-and-vetiver pairing, giving that classical idea a rounder, more contemporary expression.

Bergamot, tangerine and bitter orange bring several shades of citrus rather than one undifferentiated freshness. Lemon leaves, galbanum and cypress reinforce the green nuances. Against them, iris and honey form a soft veil, while the vetiver-chypre accord gives the composition its dry foundation.

The result balances brightness with softness without turning the honey into a dessert theme. Powder is present, but it does not replace the citrus; the chypre character adds definition beneath both. How to apply — general guidance: spray onto clean, dry skin, for example on the neck or the inside of the wrists. Allow to dry without rubbing. Avoid contact with the eyes and follow the instructions on the packaging.
